Billed for 3 Years for Service I Cancelled
My case number is 0620****.
The supervisor of the account representative is Anthony. I have spoken to him twice and left two messages that he has not returned.
He promised me a full refund at the beginning of December. It has not happened.
I signed up for a trial, paid one month, called and cancelled. Because my email address is a major company, Logmein decided to assign an account representative.
The account rep did not cancel my account. I didn't notice the charges on my account because I knew I cancelled and I don't reconcile my financial accounts. Three years later, I noticed. I called customer support.
They advised me that the account rep must cancel. I stated I had already tried to work with the account rep. Customer support told me that account reps routinely don't cancel because they receive financial incentives to leave the account open.
I have spent eight hours, spoken to four different divisions, and escalated the matter to the boss of my account rep. The boss does not return calls and the matter is still unresolved.

Good product but preditory billing.
Started out 4 years ago at $134 a year for 5 sessions. Just got “auto renewed” for $913 for upgrade without my permission or notification.
Happened last year as well. You call and complain and they drop the price (at an increase stiil).
Told them to take a hike. Rip off.

I've been a user of Logmein since 2009. During that time it worked very well and was a big part of our IT solution.
However, their pricing has increased every year and finally it is now over $50/month. This is now too much when there are other more reasonably priced solutions out there. I noticed the renewal charge and called them to cancel, and Patrick was the rep on the phone said there was nothing he could do.
I asked them for where I agreed to the automatic renewal and they are unable to provide this information. The refuse to cancel the service or refund the pro-rated amount for the service not used.
Preferred solution: Cancelation and refund of the pro-rata service fee.
Unauthorized billing ruins my Thanksgiving weekend
Woke up on a Saturday morning to find an unauthorized $250 dropped out of my PayPal account by LogMeIn. Did a search to discover they do this all the time.
They conveniently (for them) make it impossible to cancel your account from within their app. They requested a new billing address last month, and when I failed to provide that, they switched me back to PayPal billing. That was not authorized. They have completely ruined my Thanksgiving weekend as I cannot drive home now as my bank account is now empty.
This is America Online all over again. Their business plan is to drain you.

The worst cloud service ever.
Anybody that subscribes to this service should beware. When the time arrives for renewal, the only options listed are upgrades that are significantly more expensive.
Attempting to continue one's present subscription is not listed as an option, but rather only upgrades are listed. To continue one's present subscription, one has to logout of their service and inquire as a new user. Their cloud file storage system is setup to make sure that one cannot migrate their files to a different cloud service. One is "locked-in".
If one attempts to use a cloud file migrating service such as CloudHQ, LogMeIn is not even listed as a service from which files can be transferred. The LogMeIn product makes it extremely impossible to download your files en masse. That option is not even offered. One can only transfer files that lie within folders individually ....
one at a time! Try accomplishing this with a large number of files that one might want to transfer to a more user friendly and MUCH MORE economical cloud file storage system. Once again ... buyer beware.
I have used LogMeIn for over 5 years. I am deserting my files and changing to a different product, never to return.

service had been costing apx $70.00,, they auto renewed it at $250.00. When I complained they said they had sent me a email.
I DIDN'T GET ANY EMAIL,.TO ME THIS COMPANY WAS ETHER PURCHASED OR MERGED WITH ANOTHER COMPANY AND THE PRODUCT PRICE WAS RAISED APX 400% WITHOUT NOTIFICATION . CLAIMING THEY SENT A EMAIL DOESN'T CUT IT. In my view if they are just sending emails to notify they they should have a auto reply that verifys that the customer has received that email. I would like this company to refund my money .
I have heard that a lot of complaints involving this company. I have no way of verifying that, but based on how they took advantage of me, I would think that to be the case

Ripped off.
I was convinced to sign up to LogmeinPro in 2014 for an offer price of 24.00, but invoiced for $60.00. The product was not suitable for my use, I am a one man band with one computer and they tried to rip me off on the price.
So I cancelled. Yesterday, I noticed on my statement that 230.37 plus 6.33 Non-Sterling charge had been taken without authority form my bank account. My bank told me that 2 other amounts of 76.49 and 138.47 had been taken from my account in 2015 and 2016. My bank are dealing with this for me.
I have the emails still from 2014, I also spoke with the company on the phone. The contract was cancelled in 2014, or so I thought. The Bank has done a call back on the latest amount. I have e mailed the company, but not holding my breath.
I have been advised to "lose" my debit card. So a new card with a complete new number will be issued. This will prevent them just adjusting the expiry date and continue taking money.
I have also been advised closing account and opening another. The only way to stop these thieves.

I used to have a LogMeIn account - in 2008. NINE YEARS AGO.
I closed the account in 2008. A friend asked me to help him with something on his computer. He has an active logmein subscription, so I downloaded the client and ran it without installing it to help with his problem. End of story - NOT!
Two days later LogMeIn billed me $249.95 on an old PayPal account they apparently still had in their directory, even though I had changed the log in user name information on the account several times since they last billed me for any service. They never sent me any communication saying they were going to bill me. They never flashed a notice on the screen that they were going to bill me.
LogMeIn has a 30-day free trial that can be canceled before any billing is made. I was billed within 2 days of using the client only for one thing..

Logmein ripoff
I used their service in 2014 and they TOOK another payment in 2015 without notice. It was supposed to be cancelled after the 2015 payment but they continued to take more money in 2017.
Paypal has been alerted but I still am waiting for a full refund from these dubious LogMeIn ..rooks Emails to LogMeIn have gone unanswered and paypal is unable to get my money back from these guys.
Stop your payments to LogMeIn or else they will suck you dry by raising rates without warning and taking your money and making you deal with them to obtain a refund. contact you local better business bureau for guidance in dealing with logmein

Dont be fooled, they're scammers.
If you're into providing remote assistance, then use another software. LogMeIn has very poor support, they bill you and bind you into paying them, when issues arise they give you a run around.
When you want to cancel, they send you the terms that you cannot cancel. I've been speaking to Steven | Technical Support Rep who sends me one email in two days, and actually repeats the same thing i've been telling him for days. 1. This software isn't trusted by most Macs, and LogMeIn doesn't wants to put efforts into sorting it out, many less tech savvy users are afraid of running it when they see the prompts telling them that the software is downloaded from the internet, and isn't trusted.
2. Older Mac's aren't compatible with this software. 3. There timers sucks, when a less tech savvy users download the software and if the user has taken a while to run it, the support session expires and if you do not click the link within 5 minutes the link expires.
I decided not to use this software anymore, because i have to spend like 20-30 minutes to the user explaining what the software is, and then instructing further how to run it, and if it expires then i have to re-do the new links.
If the user mistakenly runs two instances of this ***, then the PC keeps rebooting. Don't buy this software.

This company yearly charged my card for a service I never signed up for nor was I ever able to unsubscribe on my own. They then refused to refund. Never used their service after 8-yrs and am as mad as ...

True Story of a Formerly Loyal Customer
Look, I've used this product for over 10 years and I just canceled my subscription, you know why? Well, because of manipulative and dirty business practices.
Let me explain, Auto-Renew is SO auto that you cannot cancel it, there's absolutely no option on their website to cancel. I feel this is a *** business tactic. If your product is good then let the quality of your product and your customer service sustain your reputation. Don't try to hold your (in my case especially loyal) customers hostage and keeping your account auto-renewing by making it a huge PITA to cancel!
Here's another thing, when I tried to downgrade my service from "LogMeIn Pro for Power Users - $349/yr for 5 Computers" to "LogMeIn Pro for Individuals - $149/yr - for 2 Computers" their website wouldn't even show me the option to do so. I even tried to use an alternate browser to access the website without logging into my account and it wouldn't show it to me because they flagged my IP address! So then I really got pissed, closed both of my browsers, cleared the caches, connected to my VPN service and tried to access the LogMeIn Store and guess what, I could see this wonderful option of purchasing the $149/year service. After that experience, I called them and canceled my service.
Does there product work? It works well, but they need to change their corporate culture of sneaky, slimmy, and questionable ethics in their business practices.

Logmein not working properly
spend at least 45 min on hold only to be connected to a woman who had no idea how to help me and decided it was an aol issue! Been using logmein for years and had sporadic problems Used it all weekend Today I can't get in tried logmein client, tried two of my clients accounts Customer Service couldn't comprehend that there is a problem....Says it must be aol because I don't get emails to reset. Looking for better program and will advise my clients to do the same I lost over two hours of time today due to this problem
Terrible company
So when you call to cancel, even cancel your credit card unless you maintain the cancellation email they seem to be able to charge you a year later, retrieving your new credit card numbers (under their "terms and conditions") and charge you anyway.
I've printed out the cancellation email, called AMEX and it seems may need to send up a red flare to make sure this doesn't happen again.
These companies and their "auto-renew" is a license to steal!
How does a consumer protect himself? NEVER AUTO RENEW ANYTHING! Maintain cancellation emails in perpetuity and never trust the agent in customer service to complete their end.

Same thing happening to me! I agreed to this ONE-TIME charge back in 2014 when I worked for another company and needed access from home.
Here I am 2 years later being billed $149 for services I do not use! What the heck?? It's SO WRONG!
